Last year during Ultrasound Awareness Month we announced the Inspiring Excellence Mentor Award. We asked all of you to nominate someone who has made an outstanding commitment to mentoring within the field of ultrasound. We asked and you answered!! Dozens of applications came in from around the globe! Some of the stories were so inspiring that it was hard to select just one winner so we decided to not limit ourselves to one but rather to select the most influential and inspiring within the USA and our international community. We selected those that made a significant positive impact to others through extraordinary leadership. In addition to our winners we have a few shout-outs that will receive an honorable mention.
USA 2018 MENTOR AWARD WINNERS!
The three winners in the USA division were awarded to Jessica Coe, Luis Moriyon and Presley Painter. Each recipient demonstrated outstanding mentoring within the field of ultrasound impacting those around them for the better. We also have two honorable mentions, Lissa Rossi and Yvonne price for their outstanding work. We will share their individual stories in later weeks.
INTERNATIONAL MENTOR AWARD WINNERS!
We had a large number of international sonographers and physicians nominated and we selected the four that had the biggest impact. Two of the winners are active with cardiology Facebook groups and are spreading their knowledge internationally. We a super excited about highlighting these Facebook groups in our upcoming blogs, so stay posted!!
Through-out the year we will spotlight these mentors and share their accomplishments with you. Their inspiring stories deserve recognition! So be on the look out and once again, congratulations to our winners!
