Tell us about your education and work experiences.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the University of Southern Indiana. I was able to learn different modalities of sonography that includes: General, Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular and Cardiac. I worked in an ultrasound department that performed a variety of studies while finishing-up the last year of my degree which focused on echocardiography.
After graduation, I worked full-time in a cardiac lab, where I performed 2D/3D adult and pediatric echocardiography along with 2D/3D and peri-operative TEE, Stress Echos, intracardiac echos (ICE Procedures) and strain imaging. I then became the technical director and lead sonographer of my department where I handled IAC accreditation, continuing education (both sonographers and physicians) and clinical quality improvement. I was also involved with imaging software transitioning, cardiac valve conferences, cardio-oncology program development and clinical mentoring.
I recently graduated with my Masters of Health Administration from the University of Southern Indiana.
What do you like about CardioServ?
CardioServ is a great company that shares common goals of mine, which include driving quality and continuing education for advancement within the healthcare field. The company has a true passion to help other facilities grow and advance both technical and quality for their imaging labs. It is great to see how each person within the company plays a vital role in bringing together the main core goal of CardioServ.
What do you think about the future of diagnostic imaging?
I truly believe that diagnostic imaging is the future of healthcare. As technology advances, imaging is becoming the gold-standard for diagnosing and developing plan of care for patients. I feel that ultrasound is going to play a key role in imaging and preferred method due to advancements on image quality, 3D and not having radiation exposure.

Since moving down to Florida, I enjoy going to the beach with my dog, Reddington, and spending time exploring the natural wildlife! I look forward to learning and advancing my newest hobby of photography while in the beautiful state of Florida as well!
What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
I recently went to Antigua and got to explore the whole island! It was really fascinating to learn and experience a different culture and way of life, not to mention it was beautiful!!
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
I really love Greek mythology! I would have loved to witness that era of time and experience some of the legendary stories we read about today (and to figure out if it’s truly a myth or not).
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
TACOS!
What TV series are you currently binge watching?
During the winter months in Indiana, I tend to do a variety of binge watching since the weather is cold and crummy. Now that I am in beautiful Florida during the winter months, I haven’t had the urge to watch TV at all! Shows that I love to binge watch include Game of Thrones, Scandal, Blindspot and This is Us.
